Kaitlyn...
Wild landscapes have infiltrated my soul. I seek those places because they have become my blood – how I breathe, feel, and know. Through the exploration of "wild" places my heart is filled with joy, my blood pumps through my being like rivers flood canyons in the height of the summer Monsoon in the Southwest, my soul is grounded in myself, as rooted and confident in its place as the mountains of the West. These days I seek this most through pedaling my bike, walking, scrambling, skiing, and floating through the places bikes shouldn't go, and teaching adventure education at Prescott College.
Adventurer and writer, Jack Turner's thoughts on the importance of experience and connection with the natural world resonate with my personal and professional motifs, and inspire the title of this space.
